IT is perhaps the least romantic lonely hearts ad ever committed to paper, but it may also be the most brutally honest - and women, it seems, love it.

Les Reason's advert read: 'No-good drifter, poor sense of humour, no dress sense, bath once a week whether needed or not, complete animal, seeks perfect woman for everything.' The candid admission of his shortcomings in a local newspaper has melted dozens of hearts and attracted a host of replies from would-be suitors.
