LISLE, Ill. -- Strong environmental performance and the highest operational standards have helped BP Pipelines maintain and expand its ISO 14001 Certification.
In November 2001, BP Pipelines became the only liquids pipeline company in North America to achieve ISO certification. On June 28, 2002, employees from across the pipeline operating unit successfully completed the first follow-up audit and concurrently were granted approval to include four additional pipeline districts in the ISO 14001 certificate. What's more, the audit found no areas for follow-up or corrective action, a noteworthy achievement for an enterprise the size of BP Pipelines.
