A snow job
Despite Mayor R.T. Rybak being swept into office on the promise of 24-hour snow removal, the Minneapolis Public Works Department has decided that residents do not want speedy snow removal; they really want quality snow removal ("Minneapolis won't pursue 24-hour snowplowing plan," Aug. 24).
As a city bus driver, I want to know: Based on its uncanny ability to read the pulse of public opinion, exactly when did Public Works decide that the citizens preferred a city full of potholes, collapsing sewers and streets awash in garbage?
