HANOI, Aug 29 Asia Pulse - A consultative contract for building one of Southeast Asia's longest stayed-cable bridges has been signed between the Transport Ministry and an international consortium.
The Can Tho Bridge, which will span the Hau River and connect the two southern provinces of Can Tho and Vinh Long, is estimated to cost US$342.6 million. Funding will primarily be supplied from the Japanese Bank for International Corporation (JBIC). Japan's Nippon Koei Company-led consortium, comprising another Japanese company, Chodai Co.Ltd., and two Vietnamese companies, Tedi and Tedisouth, will be responsible for reviewing the bridge's design and choosing companies ...
