The Tasmanian division of Caravan Industry Australia says businesses are prepared for the start of the new Bass Strait ferry service. Cosy Cabins managing director Tony Park disagrees, stating that not all tourist parks have been upgraded. Park also operates Park Homes, which builds cabins for many of the state's caravan parks. Tasmanian president of Caravan Industry Australia, Terry Dutton, said the state has 72 caravan parks, ranging from basic facilities to five-star cottage accommodation.
