Aug. 29--Major League Baseball players find out in the late hours tonight if they will go on strike Friday.
If there are no Mariners drawing a crowd to Safeco Field this weekend, the vendors, employees and surrounding businesses will feel the effects.
At Safeco Field, roughly 2,000 employees work in restaurants, catering suites, concession stands and as seat vendors, said Elaine Gosnell, a communications consultant at Volume Services America, which is responsible for the stadium.
