Alexandra Connor - author, artist and fellow of the Royal Society of Art - has littered 'Private View' with what appear to be her own versions of the works of famous artists. Why she has chosen to do this, rather than present the reader with the original images, is curious.
It seems to this reviewer that the publishers chose to opt out of the expense involved in licensing the works of the past masters. As a detail from the cover image - Las Meninas The Family of Philip IV by Diego Velazquez - is reproduced on the back cover, it seems that the producers of 'Private View' felt that including only one ...
