Take one huge forest, add several feet of snow and stir with furious winter winds, and you get a tourist magnet.
But as the snow thaws, so too do the tourist dollars.
Now, a $27,000 grant will be used to promote the Tug Hill Plateau with a four-season marketing campaign.
"This area does very well in the winter, but dies the rest of the year," said Hugh Quinn, owner of the Osceola-Tug Hill Cross Country Ski Center and a member of the Tug Hill Business Association.
