There's been a lot of heat -- but not much light -- about the worsening state budget crisis. Kathleen Falk, fortunately, stands as a beacon of light above the other candidates.
At the heart of much of the budget trouble lie ill-conceived policies that support the "tough-on-crime" rhetoric of more than a decade. Falk alone has been willing to take a courageous stand on corrections reform.
