The top-seeded and world No. 1 Hewitt dropped the first set before rebounding for a hard-fought 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 third-round victory over the 25th-seeded Blake at Ashe Stadium on the grounds of the USTA National Tennis Center.
