It took less than a minute Thursday for attorney Susan Link and paralegal Cindy Costello to have their long hair lopped off.
They are donating their shorn hair to Locks of Love, a nonprofit organization in Lake Worth, Fla., that provides hairpieces to disadvantaged children with hair loss due to burns, radiation and alopecia areata, an autoimmune disease.
"Most women are real conscious of their hair," said Link, a partner in the Minneapolis law firm of Maslon Edelman Borman and Brand. "And if you don't have it - I can't imagine not having it!"
