TOKYO, Sept 2 Asia Pulse - Yusen Air & Sea Service Co. (TSE:9370) said Friday it expects consolidated pretax profit for the six months through September to more than double year on year to 2.5 billion yen (US$21.05 million), exceeding an earlier forecast of 1.5 billion yen.
The rise is mainly attributed to a recovery in shipments of chip-related parts as well as company efforts to reduce personnel and other costs.
Group sales are projected to increase 14 per cent to 50.6 billion yen, surpassing a previous estimate of 47 billion yen.
