WOODBURY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 3, 2002
Weight Watchers International, Inc. (NYSE:WTW) today announced it has acquired, effective September 1, 2002, the operations of its eastern North Carolina franchise for a cash payment of $10.6 million.
For the twelve month period ending May 31, 2002, the acquired operations generated revenue of approximately $4.8 million and operating earnings (adjusted for non-recurring expenses) of approximately $2.2 million.
