A very successful Symposium on Environmental Chemistry was held at the Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, Memorial University, Corner Brook, NF, on May 17, 2002, held in conjunction with the Atlantic Student Chemistry Conference (ChemCon2002) and the Annual General Meeting of the Atlantic CIC Local Section.
The Symposium opened with Colin Baird, The University of Western Ontario, giving a survey of the problems of pesticides and herbicides as pseudo-estrogens.
