WHEN WALTER SIMPSON founded Twin City Printing & Litho Inc. in North Little Rock 57 years ago, he never imagined his grandchildren would one day be active in then business.
But then again, Simpson also never dreamed of today's ever-evolving technology that keeps the industry exciting, said his son, Mike Simpson, who is now office manager and vice president of the company.
"Offset printing as we know it hasn't changed all that much. We still put ink on paper ... [but now] we have the ability to create really complex jobs with inexpensive software," he said.
In 1945, the elder Simpson, now 84, opened Twin City Printing on Main Street in downtown ...
