New England Brewing develops a specialty line of quality brews
NORWALK -- After only a year in business, the New England Brewing Co. is gaining in popularity among beer drinking connoisseurs with its trademark Atlantic Amber brew, available on tap in area restaurants.
Launched in February 1989, the micro-brewery at 25 Commerce St. in Norwalk is committed to producing a fresh, handcrafted premium beer for a select market niche, according to company officials.
The brewery opened with 20 restaurant accounts in March and now has about 50 accounts. The company recently hired a sales and marketing expert to market the beer to additional restaurants, ...
