Labor, Finance Ministries reach agreement with unions on 7 % pay hike for civil servants
The finance and labor and social affairs ministers have reached an agreement with the civil servants' umbrella trade union organization ROPO calling for a 7 % pay rise for police, firemen, healthcare sector workers, teachers and other civil servants.
If approved by the government, the wage hike would require an additional CZK 7 bn crowns from the 2003 state budget.
The agreement has the support of 10 trade unions, while the teachers' trade union did not back the measure, saying that the result did not do enough to resolve the issue of low ...
