Swedish Businessman Explains Why He Acquired Major U.S. Band Instrument Maker
Last November, United Musical Instruments, parent company of C.G. Conn, King Musical Instruments, Armstrong Woodwinds, Scherl & Roth Strings, Benge Brasses, and Artley Woodwinds, as well as Muskantor Music AB, Sweden, and with a 50% interest in Sonor Percussion of West Germany, was purchased from the Swedish conglomerate Skane Gripen by a group of investors headed by Bernhard Muskantor.
