KEVIN Mayer has slipped back into the consultant's seat, and he likes the way it feels. As the new vice president and head of the media and entertainment practice at LEK Consulting, Mayer returns to the firm after a long stint on the corporate side.
Prior to rejoining LEK, which he first joined in 1990, Mayer was chairman and chief executive of Clear Channel Interactive, president and chief executive of Playboy.com and executive vice president at Go.com, Walt Disney Co.'s shuttered Internet venture.
