2002 SEP 2 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- MelTec GmbH, a functional proteomics company, announced that it has been awarded a prestigious research grant, worth approximately euro 2.3 million (US $2.25 million), by the German Federal Ministry for Education, Science, Research and Technology (BMBF).

MelTec will use this grant to further its drug discovery programs and its new approaches to individualized medicine by heading the establishment of CELLECT, a multidisciplinary network of 10 research groups.
