In an unscientific survey of airline passengers pulled out of line for a second look, the Herald tabulated results seemingly counter to official declarations that race is not used as a factor in checkpoint screening.
In the survey, conducted last week from a vantage point overlooking the US Airways checkpoint at Logan's Terminal B, 120 passengers were counted, of whom 33, or 27.5 percent, were doubled-screened.
