Sep. 6--Concern about the reliability of bulletproof vests made by South Florida manufacturer Point Blank Body Armor Inc. -- in the midst of a labor strife with its workers -- are being raised by New York police officers and union leaders.
In the next two weeks, the New York Police Department plans to identify the 900 to 1,000 officers wearing the vests and begin to replace the vests that fail firearms testing, said Sgt.
