IF THEY had been given three wishes a year ago, Swedish bosses would not have hesitated in their demands: for Sweden to join the European Community; for the government to drop its plans to close all nuclear, power plants; and for the government to make the fight against wage inflation its top priority, above that of full employment. Sweden's ruling Social Democrats have long said a firm ne to all three wishes. Yet now, within a few months, it has performed a breathtaking U-turn on every single one of these issues.
