An Israeli football club, a remnant to the most famous Jewish club in Europe at the beginning of last century, is struggling for survival. Hakoach Maccabi Ramat Gan that played last year in the Israeli second division was relegated to the third division by the Israeli Football Association after it was found the club has NIS 14.9 million (some $3 million) in debts. Due to delays in payments to players Hakoach may be forced to dissolve and not to play in any Israeli league. Hakoach Vienna was founded in 1909.
