Discovery well located by Callon and partners
Callon Petroleum Company, of Natchez, and partners Santa Fe Energy Partners, Houston, and Placid Oil Company, Dallas, announced recently that the No. 1 Irvin Langford 5-10 well in Monroe County, Ala., tested, prior to stimulation, at the rate of 336 barrels of 35.9 gravity oil per day on a 24/64" choke with tubing pressure of 300 pounds from perforations at 14,492 to 14,500 feet. No formation water was reported. The well was drilled to a total depth of 14,576 feet and 27 net feet of pay was cored from 14,492 to 14,526 feet in the Smackover formation.
