On Jan. 7, 1980, the Philadelphia Flyers brought an NHL-record 35-game unbeaten streak to the Met Center and got thumped 7-1 by the North Stars.
On Sept. 6, 2002, the Oakland A's brought an American League record 20-game winning streak to the Metrodome and got thumped 6-0 by the Twins as fans chanted, "The streak is over."
"Give our guys credit," A's manager Art Howe said. "It was quite a stretch."
