TOKYO, Sept 11 Asia Pulse - Trend Micro Inc. (TSE:4704), a Tokyo-based provider of antivirus and Internet content security software, has announced that it has been chosen as a component of the Nikkei Stock Average, effective at the beginning of trading on September 19, 2002.
The 225-share Nikkei Stock Average is Japan's most widely followed stock market index, composed of leading companies listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
According to Nikkei Net Interactive, the Nikkei Stock Average has been calculated continuously since 1950 using the Dow Jones method, which reflects the ex-rights-adjusted average stock prices of component ...
