Sep. 11--Blame it on Sept. 11. Blame it on the economy. Maybe it's the wildfires burning throughout the West.
For whatever reason, people just aren't coming to Las Vegas in the numbers they were a little more than a year ago, and there's no telling when that will change.
Hotel occupancy and visitor volume dropped off the table after September's terrorist attacks, and while the numbers have made a steady comeback, they remain below comfort levels for Las Vegas' gaming and tourism industry.
