At the meeting between the London council employers and trade unions to discuss the issue of London pay, Cllr. Ann John, Chair of the Employers' Side gave the following statement:

Assuming the ACAS proposals are confirmed, the GLPC (Greater London Provincial Council) Employers' Side is committed to implementing the national pay award as soon as practical.
