Sep. 14--PLAINFIELD, Conn.--Federal and state environmental officials and representatives of the local health department walked the contaminated, 16.6-acre InterRoyal Corp. property Thursday to evaluate the condition of the rapidly decaying mill complex.
Little activity has occurred on the site since last October, pending a federal criminal investigation into the release of asbestos during demolition work.
