Sep. 15--TWIN FALLS, Idaho--Main Avenue merchants two blocks northwest of the Shoshone Street intersection objected Friday to the potential removal of trees in front of their stores without being asked about it first.
Fifteen businesses on the block petitioned Historic Old Towne's business improvement district to leave the trees alone as long as the trees are healthy.
Historic Old Towne is responsible for maintaining trees on downtown city property. It needs approval from the city Tree Commission before a tree may be removed.
