Strong Sales Increase For Roche Holding Ltd.

Roche Holding, the Swiss pharmaceuticals, chemicals and fragrance group, has reported a strong increase in its income for fiscal 1989 with net consolidated earnings up by 32.7 per cent from SF 642 million to SF 852 million. Roche Holding, formerly known as Hoffmann-La Roche, had produced such markedly improved profitability with income rising faster than the growth in sales, against a background of dramatic political and economic change.
