Leslie Fay Has Plan to Soup Up Its Superbrand
NEW YORK - The Leslie Fay Cos. is out to put more muscle into what it calls its "superbrand."
Three years ago, the firm decided to develop the Leslie Fay name as a superbrand, cutting a large swath through the moderate business in sportswear and dresses.
Now, it has put together a marketing program for these lines. With many elements already in place, the program should be rolling fully next spring. Simply put, its aim is to "pull merchandise through stores, rather than pushing it through with markdowns."
