STROKES and heart disease are the most common cause of death and disability in the UK. Yet the simple management of blood pressure could dramatically reduce the risks for thousands of people every year.

That is why premiership footballers such as Robbie Fowler and David Beckham have just joined the Blood Pressure Association (BPA) in urging everyone to get their blood pressure tested next week.
