Sep. 17--Chattanooga federal workers, who last year led the nation in comparable government employee fund drives, are trying to raise a record $1.5 million this year to support hundreds of local and national charities.
The Chattanooga Area Combined Federal Campaign began Monday with an appeal to local TVA, Postal Service, IRS and other federal agency workers to continue the heroism displayed on Sept. 11, 2001 by supporting the fall 2002 campaign.
