Bucking a nationwide trend of stagnat wages, infection control professionals enjoyed heftier paychecks this year to the tune of about a 10 percent increase, according to the results of the latest look at ICP pay by Healthcare Purchasing News as part of the exclusive 2002 Infection Control Salary Survey.
The overall average wage for infection control professionals came in at $53,937, according to the unscientific poll, which was sent to 668 infection control professionals and garnered a 20 percent response rate with 133 returns. That's up from last year's $48,974.
