Neiman Marcus names Tansky Bergdorf chair
NEW YORK - The Neiman Marcus Group Inc. has named Burton Tansky vice chairman of Bergdorf Goodman and said Tansky will become chairman and chief executive officer of the specialty retailer in February 1992.
Officials of the Chestnut Hill, Mass.-based Neiman Marcus Group said current Bergdorf Goodman chairman and chief executive officer Ira Neimark, 68, plans to resign January 31, 1992. They also named current Bergdorf vice chairman Stephen C. Elkin, president. Elkin will retain his chief operating officer duties.
