A HANDMADE lemon curd made in North Wales from a 1960s recipe has scooped a top award for speciality foods.
Welsh Lady Preserves Lemon Curd was deemed the Fortnum and Mason Great Taste Awards Supreme Champion at the Speciality and Fine Food Fair, held at London's Olympia this week.
Run by the Guild of Fine Food Retailers, the Great Taste Awards is one of the world's biggest competitions of its kind.
A family-run business, Welsh Lady Preserves manufactures handmade preserves, chutneys, fruit curds, jellies and accompaniments.
