What may have seemed like a strange site in September proved Sunday to be as exciting as it is in cold, snowy January.
"They can jump as far in the summertime as they can in the winter," said Randy Hansen, the vice president of the Norge Ski Club in Fox River Grove.
On Sunday, the club hosted its annual summer ski jumping tournament, which has been held on the Norge hills since 1983. The club also hosts a winter competition that is nearly 100 years old.
