Sep. 19--Holloman Air Force Base, near Alamogordo, is being considered by U.S. Air Force officials as a possible site for the Predator Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) program.
Monday, Air Force officials at the Pentagon confirmed that Holloman is among the bases being considered for the UAV program. The Pentagon is expected soon to begin a year-long environmental assessment process at all potential sites.
U.S. Sen. Pete Domenici, R-N.M., said the Air Force program would be well suited for New Mexico.
