"There has to be less waste so that we're not up to our necks in refuse" stated Professor Manfred Frick, President of the Berlin Technical University (TU) during the "Plastic Recycling for the Benefit of the Environment and Industry Conference". A few days earlier, the city was the venue for the International Recycling Congress with more than 2,000 scientists and practioners concerned with waste disposal in attendance.
