KRAKOW, Poland - Every hour on the hour, a bugle blares from the tower of St. Mary's Church. It's Krakow's ancient, five-note warning call, the Hejnal.
Tourists below in Old Town Market Square pause to catch a glimpse of the bronze-helmeted bugler while he moves around the high tower ramparts playing "to the four corners of the earth," as tradition has decreed since medieval times.
