US air safety investigators have reportedly recommended improvements to cabin pressure gauges in Airbus A300 aircraft.

National Transportation Safety Board investigators made the recommendation based on the preliminary findings of an investigation into the death of a flight attendant at Miami International Airport in November 2000. The crew member was ejected from an American Airlines aircraft onto a ramp at the airport when an emergency exit door, which he was struggling to operate, burst open.
