The new kids on the block in the Big Fir League are being careful not to step on any toes.
Reedsport, Bandon and Myrtle Point - all former members of the Class 3A Far West League - shifted classifications this year to join the 2A conference, and none of the schools wants to be stamped as the resident bully.
`This is not a step down for us, it's a step across,' Reedsport athletic director Jim Akre said. `And in a lot of sports, like softball and girls basketball, it may be a step up. We understand this won't be a cakewalk.'
