Sep. 19--State investigators were back at Menorah Gardens Cemetery in Palm Beach County on Wednesday with a rabbi and a backhoe.
Working under a tent with a large fan in 95-degree heat, they opened a single grave in their ongoing efforts to match bodies at the cemetery with bones found in nearby woods in April.
The vault they uncovered -- crushed on one side -- belonged to a man buried nearly 20 years ago.
Its condition lent credence to allegations that it had been desecrated, said Neal Hirschfeld, a Fort Lauderdale attorney for families suing Menorah Gardens.
