A Syracuse man arraigned Wednesday on charges of grand larceny and burglary in Hastings told investigators he never broke into a Hastings car dealership last year and stole a van.
Donald F. Fadden, 39, maintained his innocence even after investigators told him that the DNA found on a discarded cigarette butt tied him to the crime. State police also have a 15-page statement, which says Fadden and a man already convicted in the case broke into the dealership and stole the van.
