Sep. 20--The Arizona Department of Real Estate said Thursday it was premature in announcing cutbacks and layoffs that were scheduled to take effect Nov. 30.
Closing the Tucson office and reducing the number of auditors has been put on hold for three to four weeks, but three administrative positions will be dissolved and builders will be responsible for more of their paperwork either way, Commissioner Jerry Holt said.
