This summer, skinless, boneless fillets were selling for prices that averaged about $2.50 a pound--almost 50 cents a pound less than last summer. Over the past 12 months, catfish prices have been at their lowest levels since the whiskered wonder first began replacing soybeans on the Mississippi Delta in the 1970s.
