When Robbie Friedman travels for business these days, he prefers to hitch a ride.
But instead of using his thumb, the chief financial officer of I. Friedman & Sons Inc., a jewelry and diamond manufacturer in midtown, uses his fingers to go online to find available seats on private jets.
Mr. Friedman can book a flight on short notice, return home the same day, and avoid the lengthy delays and hassles that have plagued New York City airports since Sept. 11.
