Sep. 22--At our house, buying a new car is like a fairy tale come true.
You remember fairy tales, don't you? They are stories of death, fighting and deception.
We started our quest for a new car last week. Last week my wife went to bed mad because we disagreed about rear-seat headroom. I think I heard my stepdaughter on the phone negotiating for a hired killer to dispose of me. She is upset because we'll sell her sports car and she'll get my old car.
